(Almost!) One Layer Wonders
Hello there, Michelle Short here and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog sharing inspiration using the Glimmering Flowers collection. Today I have three cards to share that are (almost) one-layer cards. Whilst I love adding dimension on my cards, for mailing purposes, it is easier having less dimension! GET WELL SOON For my first card, I wanted to create a shaped card. I find that shaped cards add more interest to clean and simple cards. To make this card: I took a panel of white cardstock and placed a piece of Silver Foil shiny side up on top. I placed the Glimmering Buttercups Glimmer Plate on…

Cultivate Your Cardstock Green Thumb with New Propagation Garden from Annie Williams!
Hi friends! Emily Midgett from Sixth Street Sundries is here with you today, and I’m very happy to be a guest here on the Spellbinders blog! My husband often jokes that the only way I can grow anything green is on a card, which is 100% accurate. I have purchased and been given many a beautiful plant in my lifetime only to have them sadly wither away. So many people began creating their own miniature greenhouses during the pandemic, and so it makes sense that Spellbinders designed the Propagation Garden product suite to celebrate those lucky folks with green thumbs! I have created a trio of projects with the new…

Propagation Garden Collection Introduction with Annie Williams
Hi there crafty friends, this is Annie Williams and I’m so excited to introduce my new collection with Spellbinders called Propagation Garden. This collection is inspired by my career in molecular biology as well as a love for gardening and anything leafy and lively. Audrey Hepburn once said that “to plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow” and I wanted to convey that optimism and sense of wonderment about growth and new beginnings in this collection. Collection is available on April 10th. There are seven products in this collection – three die sets, a BetterPress plate set, a stamp and die set, an embossing folder, and a wax seal…

Fun Ideas for Die Cutting With Patterned Paper Featuring Doodlebug
Hello, crafty friends! This is Emily Leiphart and I’m thrilled to be back on the Spellbinders blog, featuring Doodlebug’s Gingham-Linen Rainbow Petite Prints 12×12” Cardstock Paper. Spellbinders is now carrying the entire line of Doodlebug’s Rainbow Petite Prints and it was such a difficult choice because I love them all. Linen is always a must-have for me because it’s so subtle and I love that I can easily stamp on it. Gingham is another fun and versatile choice. After choosing the color palette for my cards and making sure that I had both the Doodlebug prints and coordinating solid cardstock, I went to work on my designs. Spellbinders has so…

Creating Colorful Album Layouts With Simple Stories’ True Colors
Hello friends, this is @vickiscraps here to share with you some layouts I made for my gorgeous mint Doodlebug album using the Simple Stories True Colors collection. This collection is absolutely fabulous – the colors are so vibrant and the embellishments are super cool and retro. For my first layout, I used pink and green gradient papers, each cut in half vertically and into strips of color (giving two of each color). They are laid from top to bottom onto a plain sheet of cardstock each at a jaunty angle and then edge distressed. I then cut two 11-inch half circles from each edge of a piece of white cardstock…
