Video Friday | Mixing & Matching Dies + Embellishing with Nuvo Drops

Hello everyone. This is Nichol Spohr and I’m so excited to be here today with this sweet little die cut scene card featuring dies from several of the Die D-Lites collection dies! I paired components from the Build A Panda, Lady Bug Garden, and Picket Fence sets to build the scene shown below. A simple stenciled background and stamped greeting all on a Fancy Edged Rectangle makes this a super happy design!

The background was die cut from Bristol Smooth Cardstock using a Fancy Edged Rectangles Die. The edges of the rectangle were masked off with Post It Tape and the background was inked and stenciled with Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Inks using a Radiating Rays Stencil.

Greetings were stamped along the left side of the background with Fossilized Amber and Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide Inks and black ink.

Grass was die cut from green cardstock using a Picket Fence die. The grass was adhered along the bottom edge of the scene as shown.

A mushroom from the Lady Bug Garden Dies was die cut from yellow cardstock and a lady bug was die cut from red cardstock. The mushroom was inked with Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide Ink and adhered behind the grass border. The mushroom was adorned with Nuvo Crystal Drops in Red Berry. The lady bug was adorned with Nuvo Crystal Drops in Black Ebony and set aside to dry.

The Build A Panda was die cut from black, white, and red cardstock and assembled as shown. The panda’s hair bow was adorned with Nuvo Crystal Drops in Whtie Blizzard.
