Hello everyone, this is Yana Smakula sharing another cardmaking video tutorial and today I’ll show you how to turn something negative, such as a negative die cut panel into something positive and super fun on a card.
When die cutting any shape out you usually have a positive side, the actual die cut, and a negative side – a piece of paper that is left over after die cutting. Most of the time the latter is being thrown away and rarely used. However these negative die cut panels are fantastic to use for shaker cards. Since shakers are very popular lately I’d like to invite you to create a create a shaker today.
Light gray, black cardstock; clear acetate; silver glitter tape; clear stamps (Altenew – Sketchy Cities Abroad); clear embossing ink; white embossing powder; heat tool; sequin mix (Lucy Little Things – Lagoon Sparkly Shaker Selection); sequins and clear drops; foam adhesive; tape runner; glue.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, have fun die cutting!
