Becca Feeken Sweet Cardlets Collection – Foiled Cards with Brenda

Hello everyone!! This is Brenda, from MyPaperCut Creations. I am thrilled to be guest posting for Spellbinders today! I have three cards to share that feature the new Sweet Cardlets Collection by Becca Feeken! This collection has a focal point, as well as a square glimmer background plate for each set, plus a collection of amazing sentiments in the elegant Becca Feeken style!

My first card is the only A2 size card. The other two are square.

I began by foiling the swan and flourish pattern in the Graceful Swan Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set onto white and pale blue cardstock with Moondust Foil. I die-cut the swan with the included die and trimmed the flourish panel into a square. The sentiment, from the Heartfelt Sentiments Hot Foil Plate & Die Set, was foiled onto white cardstock with the same foil.

I die-cut two squares, one from white cardstock and one from blue cardstock, using the Nestabilities Essential Squares Etched Dies and adhered them to the center of an A2 size cardbase. The flourish panel was rotated 90 degrees and adhered.

The swan and sentiment were both popped up with foam adhesive. A few pearls add a bit of elegance and finish off the card.

My second is a card created with the adorable Lovely Ladybug Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set.

I began by foiling the ladybug onto watercolor paper with Black Foil and the leaf pattern onto the same paper with Moondust Foil. The sentiment was also foiled with Black Foil onto red cardstock.

I watercolored the foiled images with watercolor markers. The ladybug and wings were die-cut with the included dies. The leaf pattern was trimmed into a square and matted with white cardstock. I die-cut a red and black square with the Nestabilities Essential Squares Etched Dies and cut the dotted border into the red one.

The ladybug and sentiment strip were popped up with foam adhesive. A few flat-backed beads were added for the spots on the ladybug for some dimension.

My final card is probably my favorite in the group! I am really loving this square size.

For this one, I foiled the honeycomb pattern and bee from the Just Bee-cause Glimmer Plate and Die Set onto watercolor paper with Black Foil. I watercolored the images with watercolor markers, die-cut the bee and fussy cut the honeycomb. The honeycomb was adhered to a black cardstock panel that was matted with yellow cardstock.

The sentiments, from Just Bee-cause Glimmer Plate and Die Set and Heartfelt Sentiments Hot Foil Plate & Die Set, were foiled onto yellow cardstock with Black Foil, cut out with the included die and trimmed into a strip. The bee and sentiments were popped up with foam tape.
