Watercolor Floral Cards with Betty Wright

Hello friends!  I am Betty Wright, a paper crafter from North Carolina. I am thrilled to showcase some of the beautiful Watercolor Florals Collection by Sushma Hedge.

Beauty in Bloom

For my first card, I used Beauty in Bloom stamp set along with Wildflower Sentiments.  I stamped the florals and leaves in the Beauty in Bloom set to create a floral arrangement. I  masked the flowers to show depth with the flowers and leaves. I colored the flowers with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  I added some detailing with a few Copic Markers.  I accented the centers with a white gel pen.

I added some black splatters with black acrylic paint mixed with water and used an artist brush. I used foam tape to add the panel to a top folding soft stone cardstock base. For the sentiment, I used Wildflower Sentiments. I stamped and white embossed the sentiment onto true black card stock.  I used foam tape to pop it up onto the card.  I finished the card with a few clear sequins.

Fragrant Flowers

For my second card, I used Fragrant Flowers stamp set. I stamped both images using Delicata gold glitz ink and clear embossed. I colored the flowers with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I added some black splatters with black acrylic paint mixed with water and artist brush.

I trimmed the panel and added some gold mirror cardstock behind to accentuate the gold detailing. I used foam tape to add the panel to a top folding select white card stock base. For the sentiment, I used Wildflower Sentiments. I chose a quote this time. I stamped and white embossed the sentiment onto true black card stock. I used foam tape to pop it up onto the card.  I finished the card with a few clear sequins.

Field of Flowers

For my third project, I used Field of Flowers stamp set. I started with white card stock. I ink blended Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire distress inks onto the panel.  I stamped and white embossed the lovely Field of Flowers image. I turned it upside-down and stamped it below the image to create a full card panel design. I stamped and white embossed the sentiment from the same set. I ink blended the sentiment strip to match the background panel.

I added white splatters with some white acrylic paint mixed with water and an artist brush. I inked the edges of a top folding select white card stock base to coordinate with the panel.  I added foam tape to the panel before adhering to the card base for added dimension.  I finished the card with a few clear sequins.
