Add To Cart Collection Inspiration with Mona Toth

Hi, it’s Mona Toth here, in this post I have three easy card designs with loaded golden carts and shopping bags. In this project I am featuring the entire Add to Cart collection by Becky Roberts.

When I saw this set, I knew that my first card will be a cardstock and craft related because we crafters just love these things! I made a rainbow ink blending in the background with softer rainbow colors, then I repeated the rainbow blending with darker colors but through the 6×9” Sun Burst Stencil! When it was done, I splattered on it with white and gray watercolors and let it dry. After this process I created a golden cart with 3D Shopping Cart Etched Dies from the Add to Cart Collection by Becky Roberts. I just run the cart dies twice through my Die-cut machine with some Mirror Gold Cardstock, then I adhered them together with the Bearly Art Craft Glue.

I also created the colorful cardstock die-cuts with the square die from the Shopping Cart Holiday & Presents Etched Dies in various colors. I have also created some small star die-cuts as well as a banner from white cardstock. I colored the Banner with alcohol markers to make it more colorful. In the end I stamped the sentiment with watermark ink to a piece of vellum from the Shopping Bag Sentiments Clear Stamp Set, then I heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.

For my second card I wanted to give a Retro AD looking background. I have used the same 6×9” Sun Burst Stencil but with muted ink pads and I also used only 4 colors. After I blended one color, I turned the stencil a bit and blended with another color and continued until I was ok with the look. After a quick white watercolor splattering, I let it dry.

Instead of a golden cart, here I made a paper bag with a really funny sentiment from the Shopping Bag Sentiments Clear Stamp Set, (okay not funny but true sentiment) which fits perfectly to the center of the larger bag, which you can create easily with the Shopping Bags Etched Dies from the Add to Cart Collection by Becky Roberts. I embellished the card with other die-cuts from the Add to cart collection which really pops out the white paper bag.

For the third card I wanted to create a girly pinky prosecco version of the first one. I have created the same golden cart mentioned above, but inside the card I put a piece of pink tissue paper then I filled the cart with various types of prosecco’s. I wanted to keep the background very simple, so I stamped many times the celebrate sentiment to a soft pink cardstock, then I sprinkled on it white embossing powder and heat embossed it.

As you can see there are shiny gems on the cart and the Proseccos. These are my new favorite self-adhesive gems by Spellbinders. You can find various versions in their color essentials gems, I have used the Gold mix, as well as the Crystal mix, and embellished all the three cards with these shiny gems.
