Hi crafty friends, my name is Joy Baldwin (aka Create It With Joy). I love making handmade cards and sharing them with you. If you want to check out more of my creations, head over to my blog. I’m excited to share three beautiful cards with you today, using Susan’s Tropical Getaway Collection.

So, I really love these Precision Layering Dies. I’m going to share three cards with you showing different designs for each card. These are fabulous dies to have in your stash.

For the first card, I used the smaller slimline dies, I die cut the background piece using the largest die. I then used the Embossing Folder of the Month for January and embossed that background. I die cut 7 of the smaller pieces, 6 from white and 1 from Apricot cardstock. I cut that 3 times to stack on each other for dimension. I used the Large Die of the Month from February 2021 for the sentiment, the numbers are from Apricot cardstock and the “happy” was from Sorbet Yellow cardstock. I adhered everything together and glued that to a mini slimline card base.

The next card is an A2 size card, I used the four largest dies from the rectangle Precision Layering Basics and die-cut those from white cardstock. I then used one of the smaller rectangles and die cut that three times from Ebony cardstock. I adhered all of those together and glued that to a white A2 size card base. I die cut the flowers (Hibiscus Etched Dies) from Apricot and Sorbet Yellow cardstock added some Copic markers to the centers of the flowers. I used Susan’s Garden Ultimate Tool kit to shape the Hibiscus flowers. I die cut the leaves from Desert Sand cardstock. I adhered everything together and added the gold embossed sentiment.

For the last card, I used the larger slimline Precision Layering Dies. I used the three smallest dies in that set and die cut the Desert Sand, Sorbet Yellow, and Apricot cardstock. I used the largest die and die cut that from white cardstock. I staggered the die cut cardstock pieces on the side of the white card panel, overlapping some of them. I finished by adding a gold embossed sentiment.

All are great cards. I just cannot seem to get enough of slimline cards; so you can guess which is my fav. These dies just make quick work of making matt’s so easy and precisely. I have the older sets but the new sets are on top of my wish list!
