Any Old Jewelry Box

I am feeling rather whimsical at the moment so I thought I would try something that is out of my “normal” comfort zone. I decided to distress and chalk paint an old jewelry box using my new Art Nouveau Collection to embellish the box. Hope you enjoy it. 🙂

Altered Jewelry Box

Step #1 Prep Jewelry Box by cleaning thoroughly and removing all old lining

and hardware.

Step #2  Use chalk paint to cover box. Let dry 1/2 hour and repeat.

Step #3 File or sand edges of box for the distressed look.

Step #4 Cut and Emboss all art Nouveau style dies and embellish any way you like.  Using the stencil feature of the die ink through the openings for effect below.

Step #5 Choose card stock or theme that interests you.  Trim paper to fit your desired theme.

Step # 6 Decoupage all paper and die cut shapes to your box for an interesting effect. Let dry.
