Special Moments Inspiration | Burlap and Gold Cards with Elena
Hi Spellbinders’ fans! Elena Salo is here with another portion of inspiration featuring new Special Moments collection by Marisa Job. If you’re interested in other projects with these dies, you can find them here. What do you think about combining gold and burlap? I thought about that a lot and wanted to try it in my today’s project. Here I created 5×5″ top folding card base and covered the front of it with burlap from a set of Burlap & Canvas 6×6 Sheets from Spellbinders. Then I die-cut a frame out of Spellbinders’ Gold cardstock using dies from Miss You Swirl and foam mounted it onto the card base. For…

Special Moments Inspiration | Flower Background – Inlaid Technique with Jean
Hello everyone. This is Jean Manis, and I am delighted to be back with another project showcasing the Special Moments Collection by Marisa Job. In case you missed my previous posts, you can find them here and here. My project today uses the inlaid technique, which is one of my favorite die-cutting techniques. To begin, I cut white cardstock with the Flower Background. I repeated the process and adhered the panels together with spray adhesive. I added a light gray panel to the back of the die-cut assembly. I used the Flower Background to cut three shades of pink cardstock. I inlaid the pieces into the die-cut frame, filling the…

In case you missed my first post, you can find it here. Designed with a special occasion in mind, I used several dies from the collection to create my card. Let’s take a look! To begin, I used dies in the Vintage Stitched Squares Dies set to cut and emboss the patterned paper squares, which were attached to a 4 ¼” x 4 ¼” card base. Next, I cut a white cardstock circle with a die in the Special Day Frame set, to which I…

Special Moments Inspiration | Small Cards with Elena
Hello friends! This is Elena Salo from elenasalo.com. I’m so happy to be with you again and to share the inspiration! Today I’d like to show you how to create simple small cards using new collection from Spellbinders – Special Moments by Marisa Job. And first of all I wanted to use one of my favorite set from this release. It is the Floral Oval die. I like so much the lattice oval and also flowers, which can add elegance to any project. Special Moments Inspiration | Die-Cut Happy Birthday Times Two with Jean
Hello everyone. This is Jean Manis, and I am delighted to be here today. I am sharing two Clean and Simple Birthday cards showcasing the Happy Birthday w/ Numbers Dies, part of the Special Moments Collection by Marisa Job. Wanting to illustrate the versatility of the die set, I created a card for someone turning 24 and for someone turning 56. For the “24” card, I cut strips of colorful cardstock with a trimmer and die-cut the Happy Birthday circle from black cardstock for high contrast. I adhered the numbers and hearts with liquid adhesive. For a softer approach on the “56” card, I used patterned papers, gold foil, and…

Cut & Emboss Folders Inspiration | Blessings Card with Ilina
Hello everyone. Ilina Crouse here today. I am honored to be guest designing for Spellbinders and showing you a project using the new Cut & Emboss Folders. If you are not familiar with these, they are amazing. They cut and emboss at the same time!!!! (hence their name). I was very intrigued when I saw them and had to play with them immediately. They give very nice and crisp embossed image and at the same time cut parts of it. It’s like a multitasking embossing folder. For my card today I used the Floret Cluster Cut and Emboss folder to emboss (and cut) piece of shimmer navy card stock. I…

Good Vibes Only Inspiration | Watercolor Background Cards with Caly
Hi, everyone! This is Caly Person. Thank you so much for joining me. Today I’m sharing projects from the Good Vibes Only collection by Stephanie Low. I’ve made two cards using watercolor backgrounds with two ways to accent the die cuts from this collection. On my first card, I used the Spellbinders Embossing Mat. I placed the main Crystal Peaks die in the bottom left hand corner and embossed the die onto some watercolor cardstock. Instead of drawing lines for each space, I thought this would be the quickest way for me to paint. I used Daniel Smith watercolor paints on this card and used the following cool colors: Phthalo…
