Flower Garden Inspiration | Botanical Dragonfly Card with Cynde. Video
Hey folks! This is Cynde Whitlow and I’m from The Pink Envelope. Thanks so much for stopping by! I’m here today to share a video, where I show you how I make two cards using the Botanical Dragonfly Dies by Sharyn Sowell. If you’re interested in seeing what I did with the Botanical Butterfly you can see that here. I started by ink blending watercolor cardstock with two shades of blue ink. I made sure to concentrate most of the darkest ink in the lower left corner of the cardstock and blend out the lightest. I also made sure to leave the top right corner white. I was pretty sure…

Video Friday | Paper Diorama / Figurine Holder with Olga
Hi there, it’s Olga and I am back with another 3D project tutorial. I have literally gasped when I first saw Becca Feeken’s new 3D card dies. This is the type of dies that I have been waiting for – the one that allows you to easily create a diorama or a shadow box template just by cutting out all elements and then assembling it. My favorite die set from this collection is Grand Arch 3D Card just because it has a simple rectangle for an outline which makes it super versatile and suitable for all styles. I have used this gorgeous die set to create a diorama that holds a…

Hey folks! This is Cynde Whitlow and I’m from The Pink Envelope. Thanks so much for stopping by! I’m here today to share a video, where I show you how I make two very easy cards using some lovely dies from the Flower Garden Collection by Sharyn Sowell. I simply adore the Botanical Butterfly dies. From the moment I saw it, I knew I had to use gold cardstock. I started by making shaped cards using the frame die from the Floral Panel Card Die Set. Then I die cut the butterfly from the Botanical Butterfly Die Set in gold cardstock. I used stamps to create my the “splatters” on…

First up, I have a very intricate and detailed layered card, while the second project is a favor bag. I will start with the card first. I have used the Grand Arch 3D Card dies for creating the background for my card. I die-cut it out of some white, heavy-weight cardstock and coloured it using a teal colored ink. The elegance of these dies is…

Elegant 3D Vignettes Inspiration | Tiara Rondelle Card with Melissa
Melissa Phillips here with you again today using more gorgeous 3-D Vignettes Dies from Becca Feeken. I can’t say enough about how much fun these intricate dies are to create with. I wanted to create a casual yet elegant card using the 3-D Vignette dies today, so I selected patterned paper that has the look of textured, blue, ticking fabric. I combined it with the Tiara Rondelle dies and love the look! It’s fun to see how these dies take on different personalities based on what type of medium/pattern you choose to use them with. I used this die again to create corners for my card, cutting them from a…

Handmade Collection Inspiration | Made with Love Card with Yana
Hello friends, this is Yana Smakula, Spellbinders in-house creative designer. We continue to share inspiration using one of our newest collections – Handmade by Stephanie Low. See Stephanie’s post introducing her collection here as well as inspiration posts here and here. Like I mentioned in my previous post, I love to use my stamps to create the look of patterned paper. Yes, these days you can go and buy just about any patterned paper you want, but I enjoy the process of making my own design tremendously! To create this Handmade with Love card I stamped the image repeatedly onto a white cardstock panel. I was going for a linear pattern…

Die D-Lites Inspiration | Dinosaur Pop Up Card. Video
Hello everyone. This is Nichol Spohr and I’m thrilled to be guest designing for Spellbinders this month. Interactive cards are one of my favorite things. And pop up cards? They take the cake! The pop up cards I’ve mailed to friends and family are always a huge hit. Today I’m going to share how I created this prehistoric pop up scene with the new Die D-Lites Dinosaurs and lots and lots of other Spellbinders dies. Four panels and four inserts were die cut from brown cardstock using the Heart & Home Scalloped Pop Up Box dies. On the box panels, I stenciled and stamped the panels of the box to…

Elegant 3D Vignettes Inspiration | Ornamental Arch Card with Melissa
Hello! Melissa Phillips here with you today and I have the pleasure of sharing a project using some of the beautiful Elegant 3D Vignettes Dies from Becca Feeken. These dies are truly breathtaking! I created a card using the Ornamental Arch die set. These dies are so versatile, allowing you to take your card from simple and basic, to very detailed and layered. Layers are one of my must-have items on each card I create, so these 3D Vignette dies are a dream to work with. In the background, I die cut a pale yellow arch, followed by a vellum arch. These form the background, behind my more intricate layers…
