Susan’s Tropical Getaway Collection – Card Inspiration with Annie Williams
Hi there, this is Annie Williams and I’m thrilled to be back on the blog today to share a couple of projects using the new Tropical Getaway Collection by Susan Tierney-Cockburn. The gorgeous exotic flowers in this collection inspired me to create two bright floral cards featuring realistic blooms for different occasions. I loved the sprig of petite and pretty blooms in the Plumeria Die Set, so I decided to try these first. Although you can color these flowers in several bright colors, I opted for the white variety and added a pretty sunset background on this simple foiled anniversary card. Trim a piece of white cardstock to 4.75” x…

Hello, crafty friends! This is Hussena from Quill and Punch Works and I’m so honoured to be guest posting today on the Spellbinders blog! I’m sharing a set of two cards today using dies from the new Be Bold Color Block Collection. I LOVE Slimline Cards and it’s been a while since I…

Hot Foiling the Be Bold Color Block Collection
Hello! My name is Jen Kotas and I’m so happy to be on the Spellbinders blog today. I’ve got two cards to share with you made using the new Be Bold Color Block Collection. What a fun collection with so many ways to use them creatively! I decided not to add any embellishments since there was so much shiny hot foil there already. If you don’t do hot foiling (though I highly recommend it), you could use stamps instead. For the Christmas card, you could foil the cardstock first and then die cut but I wasn’t sure what I was doing when I cut it ahead of time. Make sure…

The Be Bold Colorblock Merry Christmas Die Set really creates a showstopping background when you mix bright colors. I added a few cute gnomes to this vibrant card front for a simple and fun Christmas slimline card. Color Block Merry Christmas – Two Takes
Hello fellow crafters. It’s Jean sharing slimline holiday cards created with the Be Bold Color Block Merry Christmas die set, part of the Be Bold Color Block Collection. As a fan of pop art, such as Robert Indiana’s Love Sculpture in New York, (which first appeared as a Christmas card for The Museum of Modern Art), I was immediately drawn to this collection. Let’s see how I changed the look of the card with construction method, as well as cardstock and patterned paper choices. My first card features glitter cardstock letters in non-traditional Christmas colors. Create a white glitter cardstock base 3 ½ x 8 ½ inches. Die-cut letters from…

Scrapbook Layout with Zsoka Marko – Using Electronic and Manual Machines Together
Hi there crafty friends, Zsoka here with you today and I have a scrapbook layout to share with you using both traditional metal dies as well as digital cut files. Usually, if I do both of these die cutting techniques on my layout, I go with a large cut file to create a design element for my background and add smaller die cuts, such as leaves, hearts, flowers etc, as accents. On my page today, however, I actually created my background with a metal die set and used a cut file for my (not too large) title. I love the Color Block Slices die set, I’ve created several cards with it…
