Special Moments Inspiration | Small Cards with Elena
Hello friends! This is Elena Salo from elenasalo.com. I’m so happy to be with you again and to share the inspiration! Today I’d like to show you how to create simple small cards using new collection from Spellbinders – Special Moments by Marisa Job. And first of all I wanted to use one of my favorite set from this release. It is the Floral Oval die. I like so much the lattice oval and also flowers, which can add elegance to any project. To decorate the base of the card I didn’t use the oval, but only leftovers. Read instructions below to learn how you can do this yourself. Instructions:…

Special Moments Inspiration | Die-Cut Happy Birthday Times Two with Jean
Hello everyone. This is Jean Manis, and I am delighted to be here today. I am sharing two Clean and Simple Birthday cards showcasing the Happy Birthday w/ Numbers Dies, part of the Special Moments Collection by Marisa Job. Wanting to illustrate the versatility of the die set, I created a card for someone turning 24 and for someone turning 56. For the “24” card, I cut strips of colorful cardstock with a trimmer and die-cut the Happy Birthday circle from black cardstock for high contrast. I adhered the numbers and hearts with liquid adhesive. For a softer approach on the “56” card, I used patterned papers, gold foil, and…

Cut & Emboss Folders Inspiration | Blessings Card with Ilina
Hello everyone. Ilina Crouse here today. I am honored to be guest designing for Spellbinders and showing you a project using the new Cut & Emboss Folders. If you are not familiar with these, they are amazing. They cut and emboss at the same time!!!! (hence their name). I was very intrigued when I saw them and had to play with them immediately. They give very nice and crisp embossed image and at the same time cut parts of it. It’s like a multitasking embossing folder. For my card today I used the Floret Cluster Cut and Emboss folder to emboss (and cut) piece of shimmer navy card stock. I…

Good Vibes Only Inspiration | Watercolor Background Cards with Caly
Hi, everyone! This is Caly Person. Thank you so much for joining me. Today I’m sharing projects from the Good Vibes Only collection by Stephanie Low. I’ve made two cards using watercolor backgrounds with two ways to accent the die cuts from this collection. On my first card, I used the Spellbinders Embossing Mat. I placed the main Crystal Peaks die in the bottom left hand corner and embossed the die onto some watercolor cardstock. Instead of drawing lines for each space, I thought this would be the quickest way for me to paint. I used Daniel Smith watercolor paints on this card and used the following cool colors: Phthalo…

Good Vibes Only Inspiration | Washi Tape Cards with Caly
Hi, everyone! This is Caly Person. Thank you so much for joining me. Today I’m sharing projects from the Good Vibes Only collection by Stephanie Low. I’ve made two cards today using washi tape backgrounds with two ways to accent the die cuts from this collection. On my first card, I covered a 4.25” x 5.5” card panel using the Floral Flurries washi tape by Altenew. After doing this, I trimmed the panel to 4” x 5.25”. I centered the Good Vibes Only die over this panel and die cut just the words. I die cut the outline image using plain black paper. To add some shimmer, I used a…

Hello there, Spellbinders fans! This is Enza, and I’m back with my third and last blog post showcasing the Cut and Emboss Folders. You can find my previous posts here and here. My first card for today features the Diamond Lace Frame Cut and Emboss Folder. The delicate and intricate design of this folder is just beautiful – you don’t need much more than a sentiment to complete your card. Here I decided to step it up a little, and create lots of dimension with a few elements and foam adhesive. I started by embossing two 4”x5.25” panels of the same color. I then fussy cut only the central portion…
