Vibrant Rainbow Palette Using Simon Hurley’s Leaf Prints
Hello crafters! Joan Bardee here and I’m happy to be back on the Spellbinders blog sharing 3 bright, colorful cards using Simon Hurley’s Leaf Prints stamps and dies. Leaf Prints is a set of beautiful solid (no coloring!!) red rubber stamps of leaves and there is a coordinating set of dies available. Leaf Prints is perfect for fall cards, and normally I would go with a typical autumn color palette, but I used a vibrant rainbow palette instead and I love how they came out. Although, when you get to the 3rd card, you’ll see I’m second-guessing myself. Let me know what you think. RAINBOW BOUQUET This card packs a…

Merry & Bright Collection – Holiday And All-Occasion Ideas
Hello everyone! I’m Meg Brooks from Anchored By Ink and I am so excited to be a guest designer again for the Spellbinders blog! Today, I am featuring 3 cards using the gorgeous Merry & Bright Collection. This collection includes small florals, a striped embossing folder, a large all-occasion bow, and a festive holiday tree. I chose to keep my cards bright and more for all occasions but you could simply switch the color palette to accommodate the holidays. Die-cut leaf images from the Petite Blooms and Sentiments from white cardstock. Adhere all of the die cuts to a top folding A2 white card base using liquid glue. Be sure…

Hi there, this is Annie Williams and I’m excited to be back on the blog today to share a couple of cards made with the Merry & Bright Collection from Spellbinders. The bold designs and beautiful florals in this collection inspired me to create three simple and pretty cards perfect for sending a holiday hello. Oversized Double Bow Card I thought the giant bow from the All Occasion Bow Die Set was such a fun design that I pulled it out first to play with. Here I doubled up my bow loops for this oversized holiday card featuring tons of color and stripes. Die cut white, Waterfall, and Teal Topaz…

Autumn Interactive Card Ideas
Hi there, this is Annie Williams and I’m excited to be back on the blog today to share a couple of interactive cards made with some of the latest autumn-themed collections from Spellbinders. I love sending cards that incorporate some kind of surprise element for the recipient and I hope to inspire you to create your own shaker, scratch-off, and light-up cards too! Autumn Woods Shaker Card If you’re new to interactive cards, shaker cards are a good place to start because they’re relatively easy to put together and the recipient can usually figure out how to work them. Here I created a shaker that looks like the hole of…

There are stamps to use with a shaker and a light-up card as well as the scratch-off cards I’ll be making today. You may want to add a piece of printer paper over the scratch-off sticker sheet when die-cutting to prevent damage to the sticker. Stamp the penguin from the FransFormer Snowy Penguins Stamp Set on an A2 card panel and color with alcohol markers. Adhere to an A2 card base. Stamp the snowflakes, ice swirls, and sentiment on the belly in a…

Coloring With Olo Markers on X-press It Blending Card
Hi everyone! This is Jennifer Rustioni from @armieritagli! Today I share with you a step-by-step tutorial of the card I realized featuring the wonderful Olo Markers! These alcohol markers are truly fantastic and have very bright colors! I’m in love with them! I chose to use the Olo Markers to create a Christmas card. I realized a coloring different from my usual, using an embossing folder instead of a stamp. When using brand new colors (every type of color) for the first time, I always recommend you to create a color chart. This is really important because the real colors are often very different from the colors on the packaging.…
