Jane Davenport Artomology | Mailed with Love with Courtney Diaz
Hello Spellbinders and Davenpeeps! Courtney Diaz here with you again with another creative take on the Jane Danveport Artomology range. Being an analogue lover I love writing letters! I also love receiving letters, our mailboxes tend to only get the odd bill here and there and I think it’s time we filled them up with colourful and unique happy mail! Today I’m going to show you my spin on the humble postcard! Video Tutorial Watch video tutorial below or on Youtube to learn how to make this project: I think in our digital age where a handwritten anything is getting less and less, I feel it is more important now…

Jane Davenport Artomology | Fishy Friends with Courtney Diaz
Hello Spellbinders and Davenpeeps, my name is Courtney Diaz and I am the artist behind Little Raven Ink. I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to jump on board with Spellbinders and the lovely Jane Davenport to share with you some fun and creative ways to use the new Jane Davenport line. I am a journal artist at heart, which means I create and memory keep between the pages of my journals and today’s project is no exception! I’ve got a creative and unusual way to use the new Smooth Markers in the Jane range. I know we all love to colour with our markers, myself included but I am always looking…

Video: Creating a Spot Light for Holiday Card with Kelly Latevola
Hello Crafters! Normally, I’m all about the Copic coloring but today’s technique actually focuses on the background. With the holidays just around the corner I think you’re going to find this one pretty fun and useful! When I first saw the Joyful Season Angel from the Zenspired Holidays collection I though she looked like she was descending. That’s what gave me the idea to give her a bit of light to carry her. I started ink blending one layer of various blues. Since I wanted a night sky look I used medium to darker blues and a black. Once I had the first layer down I added a few splatters of…

Video Friday | Copic Colored Holiday Die D-Lites with Nichol
Hello everyone. This is Nichol Spohr and I’m so excited to be sharing a set of three Christmas cards featuring dies from the 2018 Holiday Die D-Lites Collection. I die cut the Die D-Lites Reindeer, Santa, and Snowman Dies from smooth white cardstock and colored in the pieces with Copic Markers before assembling and adhering to a Fancy Edged Oval. The Copic coloring gives these die cuts so much depth and dimension and is a great way to customize your die cuts! The backgrounds for all three cards were created by stamping a plaid background builder stamp on smooth white cardstock with light gray ink and either red, green, or…

A Sweet Christmas Inspiration | Baking Cookies Layout with Anna
Hello everyone. Welcome in my last post for my Guest Designer post on the Spellbinders blog featuring the “A Sweet Christmas” collection by Sharyn Sowell. You can find previous posts here and here. Today we will bake cookies together. They are sugar and gluten free. When I saw Gingerbread Boy Garland Tag die I knew what I wanted to do with it. I have many pictures of my girls helping me bake Christmas cookies, so making a layout was an obvious choice. I started with cutting the cookies out of craft paper. I also cut the frosty parts using white cardstock. I used alcohol markers to color eyes, mouth and…

Video Friday | Blue and White Christmas with Olga
Good morning everyone. Do you love blue and white color combo, probably with the touch of silver or gold? Have some blue and white china? Then what about going all blue and white this Christmas? I have used three die sets from the latest collection by Sharyn Sowell called A Sweet Christmas to create a place card plus a matching favor bag (it is in fact a chocolate bar holder) to be placed on each plate. Mistletoe Gatefold die is meant to create see-through tabs on a card BUT it also makes lovely intricate placement cards. This strip at the bottom (see the picture below) is supposed to be adhered…
