Video Friday | Wine O’Clock with Olga
Hello crafters, I hope you are having a wonderful day! The card I am presenting today features a little still life in earthy tones. To create it I have used some dies from Wine Country collection designed by Stacey Caron. There is not much going on in this card in terms of colors. That is why I had to add a lot of dimension and introduce some fun materials to create texture, contrast and depth. There is also some meaning hidden in materials – isn’t cork making you think of wine? ๐ I have gold embossed a sentiment on a matching label die cut and placed it inside the card.…

Video Friday | Rainbow Confetti Background with Kelly
Hello Crafters!ย It’s Kelly Latevola here and I’m so excited to be back on the Spellbinders blog. I have a super colorful and really fun background technique for you guys today. It’s no secret I’m a big fan of Tammy Tutterow and this Party stamp and die set is no exception. I thought it would be festive to create a rainbow background to go with the stamp set. I wanted something that would mimic an explosion of confetti. I stamped my Party stamp on both watercolor paper and white cardstock. I needed two pieces to pop up some of my elements. I added some ink blending to the watercolor piece before…

Video Friday | Swirl Frame Cards with Olga
Hi, it’s Olga, today I am super excited to share 2 cards that I have created using Swirl Frame die from the latest On the Wings of Love collection by Joanne Fink. This die is perfect for creating framed cards and it can be both landscape or portrait oriented: The first card I’ve made is portrait oriented. I created a shaped frame card base first and then added an embossed insert. For the focal image I have used a tulip die that is also a part of the Swirl Frame set. The die cuts are colored with Distress Inks and the gold foiled sentiment is attached right on top of…
