Hello Spellbinders fans! This is Laurie Schmidlin back with my second guest post for this month. You can see my first Die D-Lites post here. One of the die sets that immediately caught my eye is the Sketched Blooms die set. I love these flowers, and as it is still snowing where I live they definitely add some sunshine inside my studio!
I started by creating the background for my card. I die cut enough of the Sketched Blooms dies out of black cardstock to completely cover the background layer.
For the focal image, I die cut one of the Sketched Blooms dies out of yellow and green cardstock. I trimmed the stem and adhered it under the yellow bloom. I then die cut the same flower out of white cardstock. I sponged on a couple shades of yellow ink onto the flower center before adhering to my card.
I stamped and die cut the “for you” sentiment (from the Sentiments 2 stamp and die set). I added some color using Copic Markers.
For embellishment, I added a few yellow sequins.
True Black cardstock, Stamper’s Select White cardstock, Harvest Gold cardstock, New Leaf cardstock (Papertrey Ink), Harvest Gold ink, Honey Nut ink, True Black ink (Papertrey Ink), Copic Markers, Sequins
Thanks for joining me today, I’ll back again soon!
