Make a Wish Birthday Card

Every girl no matter what age loves a little sparkle for her birthday. I’m not a really over the top glitter girl myself and so added a random amount of glitter teamed up with silver really feels perfect to me. I really wanted to make a modern elegant card perfect for that grown up female’s birthday. The sentiment is really to celebrate that no matter how old you get it is always a special time to make a wish just for you!

Cut/emboss your card base using the Grand Calibur Machine positioning A2 Curved Matting Basics A Die #7 (the smallest die size is #1) slightly over the edge to keep the fold.

Cut/emboss turquoise cardstock with A2 Curved Matting Basics A Die #6. Add a little stenciling in the center with Whipped Spackle. Sprinkle silver glitter.

Cut/emboss Blooms Four dies with silver foil cardstock and curve the petals for dimension. Apply adhesive in center of each piece and adhere all three die cuts together to form the flower.

Assemble the card adding a bow under the flower and chipboard word sentiments. Assemble the card adding ribbon trims and pearls to finish off the card. Now it’s ready to add to your birthday gift!

Designer’s Note:

To achieve a strip of stenciling in the center, add repositional tape to each side first, apply the paste through the stencil and gently remove the tape for a clean finish.
