Maker Moments: How to Make An Apron with Steel Rule Dies

Hello and happy Monday to you! Hoping you all had a wonderful weekend enjoying things you love to do. We certainly did! Just wanted to show you a great little project that takes minimal sewing skills but looks like a labor of love.

This darling apron is simply a dishtowel folded in half! Can you believe it? We stitched on a pocket made from a hanky and added ties from random pieces of lace. Of course, we LOVE the
So Tweet contour die. Apply fusible web to the backside of various pieces of fabric.
Die-cut Bird from fabrics and assemble as desired. Peel back paper from webbing and adhere to doily using an iron (follow manufacturer’€™s instructions for accuracy). Finish the edges of the Bird with a blanket stitch. Add small button for Bird’s eye and larger buttons onto ties.
