Makers Moment: This Cute House, The Halloween Edition

Welcome back to Maker Moments! As promised, I am featuring our Prims die set again but with a different twist. With Halloween in the not too distant future, I thought it might be fun to create a haunted house of sorts. So here is what I came up with. I actually created two projects because this set was so inspiring.

The card on the left is very similar to last week’s card but I changed up the colors and opted for our die-cut Circle instead of watercoloring the background. Oh!  I almost forgot to tell you my TIP! Take a peek at the bat. Do you see something familiar? I turned the flowers upside down to create the wings for the bat and added the smallest circle from the Circle set for his head. The ears are just markings with a black pen.

Now for the treat box. I love party favors so I decided to attach the house to our Perfect Match Box. The circle is again cut from our circle die. The spider web is plastic and was purchased at a cake decorating store. Personally, I think the favor would still look awesome even if it the web wasn’t attached. I tied on some ribbons and a “boo” pick, again from the cake decorating store. Finally the sentiment was added. Remember to fill the Match Box with goodies for your favorite trick-or-treater!

So that’s about it. What do you think? Why not have a fall creating party with a bunch of friends and see what you all come up with! Share your creations here with us at Spellbinders.
