Scenic Snapshots Collection Inspiration | Greeting Cards with Yasmin

Hello, crafters! My name is Yasmin from cardsandcraftsbyyaz.com and today, I’m delighted to be here on the Spellbinders Blog sharing with you the two scenarios that, I made for today’s cards using the Scenic Snapshots Collection which, coordinates perfectly with Santa’s Workshop Etched Holiday Die.

So…without further ado, let’s take a look of the two cards that I created for this blog post.

Adventure Time Card

For the first card, I create a beautiful dawn in the mountains scenario using the Adventure Time Snapshot Dies from this collection so, to begin with I started by running through the Die-cutting Machine each of the elements to die-cut them out of an Assorted Colored Card Stock pack as, there was a color variation from one element to another. In the meantime, I also ran though the die-cutting machine the Cloche edge die and the base from the Santa’s Workshop Etched Holiday Die to die-cut them once out of white card stock, and a second time to, die-cut just top part of the cloche out of light blue cardstock as, I was planning to use the light blue piece as the background for the sky.

Once, all die-cutting pieces were done, I started by adding a bit of depth to the light blue piece and, to do that I inked it up just the edges of the die-cutting. Next, I adhered the backing of each of the elements to the background with liquid glue creating that way the full dawn in the mountain’s scenario. Then, I added clear sparkly glitter to the top of the mountains and trees as, well as glossy accent to the fire, moon and stars for a touch of sparkle and shiny dimension.

Right after when the scenario was finished, I adhered the backing of the cloche edge to it, and I adhered the lower side of the top piece to its base with liquid glue which, right afterwards became into a beautiful Cloche décor for the card. Lastly, I adhered the backing of the cloche décor to a white card panel which right after, I adhered the backing of it to an A2 top folding Kraft base with double-sided tape. To finish the card off as, you can see in the picture above, I adhered the Adventure Time die-cutting word that, I previously die-cut out of brown cardstock on the top side of the card. And, as a finishing touch, I added glossy accent to the sentiment and I adhered a tided bow that, I created out of a big piece of burlap string to the top of the cloche décor.

Harvestime Card

For the second card, I kept the main idea as the first example. However, I changed my scenario by using the Harvestime Snapshots Scenic Dies from this collection. So, to begin with, I stared by running through the die-cutting machine the dies from the set along with an assorted colored card stock.

Once, all the die-cutting pieces were done. I started by adhering each piece creating that way the beautiful Fall/Autumn morning scenario for this card. As you can see in the picture above, I added lots of dimension by curling up the leaves and the flowers. To curl them up, I used the Tool N’ One and the Stylus Tips. Then, when the full scenario was finished, I adhered in the same way that, I did on the previous example to create the cloche top and base.

Lastly, I adhered the backing of the cloche décor to a white card panel which, right afterwards, I adhered the backing of it to a top folding Kraft card base with double-sided tape. To finish the card off, I added lots of shimmer to the barn, tree, leaves and flowers. As, for the sentiment, I adhered the backing of the Harvestime die-cutting word on the lower side of the card and, I adhered two yellow jewels to the center of the flowers as, well as a bow to the top of the cloche décor.
