Simple Christmas Card with Spellbinders 3D Shading Stamps – Video Tutorial

Hello everyone, this is Yana Smakula sharing another cardmaking video tutorial.

Today I’m working with a new product from Spellbinders – 3D shading stamps. Here’s what Spellbinders says about these stamps in their catalog:

Love the look of rendered art but haven’t had the time to take a sketching class? Now, with 3D Shading Stamps, we’ve done the shading for you! You can get varying shades using your favorite ink color with one simple application. Our new stamp technology creates rendered images that will take your next stamp project to a whole new level.

These allow you to instantly create little works of art – all you have to do is ink up your image and stamp! I’m sharing two ways (out of many) how you can use the 3D Shading Stamps to create cards.

Spellbinders supplies:

DSC-009 Holly and Berries

PE-100 Platinum 6 Die Cutting And Embossing Machine – 6″ Platform

Other supplies:

White cardstock; X-press It Copic Blending Paper; Copic Markers; White Fun Foam; Tape runner; White embossing powder (WOW Opaque Bright White Detail); Clear Stamp (Mama Elephant – Merry Greetings); Clear embossing ink; Heat Gun; White Gel Pen; Clear Glitter Pen; Distress Ink (Old Paper).

I’m working with the Holly and Berries image to create both the background and the focal point of my project. I inked up my image using Old Paper Distress ink and stamped it repeatedly onto the front of an A2 top folding card base to imitate the look of patterned paper.

For my focal point I did a no-line Copic coloring technique. Again, I stamped my image in Old Paper Distress ink and colored it using alcohol markers.

Learn how you can make this project below.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, have fun die cutting!
