Video Friday | Pop-Up Card with Frame Dies with Olga
Hello crafty friends and thank you for joining me on Spellbinders blog! Today I am going to create a pop up card with some ornate frame dies from Special Moments collection by Marisa Job. I will only be using white and ivory cardstocks to create a very subtle variation of color plus some gold mirror cardstock for sentiments. The dimensional pop-up circle card is created with Miss You Swirl die set and I have “love you” written on the one side and “miss you” on the other. There is also some additional space at the horizontal part of the card to write or stamp the message to the recipient. Although…

Video Friday | Swirl Frame Cards with Olga
Hi, it’s Olga, today I am super excited to share 2 cards that I have created using Swirl Frame die from the latest On the Wings of Love collection by Joanne Fink. This die is perfect for creating framed cards and it can be both landscape or portrait oriented: The first card I’ve made is portrait oriented. I created a shaped frame card base first and then added an embossed insert. For the focal image I have used a tulip die that is also a part of the Swirl Frame set. The die cuts are colored with Distress Inks and the gold foiled sentiment is attached right on top of…

Classics March Collection Inspiration | Dry Embossed Cards with Marge
Hello, there! It’s Marge here again with gorgeous New Classics March Collection. Today I’m going to share how to make patterned backgrounds using dry embossing technique. Since all the dies in Classics March Collection are nested dies, with different patterns on frames one by one in a set, they are just perfect for making interesting patterns all together. So here are my cards for today. To begin, I cut a white card stock using the largest frame die in the Fancy Edged Rectangles Dies set, then I placed all other smaller dies on it one by one, put a piece of masking tape on them to keep them from moving…

Video Friday | Paper Diorama / Figurine Holder with Olga
Hi there, it’s Olga and I am back with another 3D project tutorial. I have literally gasped when I first saw Becca Feeken’s new 3D card dies. This is the type of dies that I have been waiting for – the one that allows you to easily create a diorama or a shadow box template just by cutting out all elements and then assembling it. My favorite die set from this collection is Grand Arch 3D Card just because it has a simple rectangle for an outline which makes it super versatile and suitable for all styles. I have used this gorgeous die set to create a diorama that holds a…

Hello, and thank you for joining me. My name is Debby Hughes, and you can find me blogging at Lime Doodle Design. I have been paper crafting for a while now, since 2006. Spellbinders dies were some of the first I bought, and so I’m delighted to be sharing this video tutorial with you today. My project concentrates on creating a classic wreath with lots of layers and dimension. I love to watercolour, and so I painted panels of watercolour to use with my die cuts. However, this wreath would look lovely cut from patterned paper or cardstock too. In the video, I show a quick unboxing of the Platinum…

Video Friday | How to Make Paper Chest of Drawers / Flower Stand with Olga
Hi paper crafters, this is Olga Direktorenko and today I will be using Spellbinders dies to create something different from a card. The first time I saw the Baby Step Block Card die set it was not the building blocks that I thought of – it reminded me of a Japanese style chest of drawers and I got so excited to make my own one out of paper! This die is meant to create a 3D card base that can be folded and mailed in an envelope, but for this project I have combined the 2 bases to make one 3D piece – watch the video below to see how…
