Joy Christmas Card
I love to ink blend and when combining the technique with intricate die cuts, you can easily make beautiful card. My first card features the Joy Dies. This delicate die cuts out the world ‘JOY’ with a border decorated with several holiday floral and foliage shapes.
To bring this image out to life, I backed it with a vibrant ink blended background. I used some masking tape to mask off the sides of the panel to ink blend a vertical center area. I used Festive Berries, Aged Mahogany, and Dusty Concord distress oxide inks.
I then die cut the letters for ‘joy’ out of gold card stock to inlay into its frame. Then, I die cut additional flowers and leaves using the same set out of colored cardstock. These were also gently ink blended for depth and layered on top of matching shapes on the joy frame.
And finally I used several red and gold nuvo drops to embellish the center of the flowers and add berries surrounding the frame.

Deck The Halls Christmas Card
This next card showcases the Die D-Lites Deck The Halls dies. I die cut the ornament twice, one out of white card stock and the second one out of gold glitter card stock. The second one also was die cut again to cut out the words ‘deck the halls’ leaving you with an intricate frame.
The white ornament was then ink blended with various green distress oxide colors and layered behind the gold. I further embellished with more florals and leaves from the Shapeabilities Joy Etched Dies that were die cut out of colored card stock.
To keep this ornament the focal point, the background is much softer and muted. I used a classy stripes stencil to create some soft ink blended vertical lines and then added little white die cut snowflakes using the Deck The Halls dies. I added some gold nuvo dream drops to each of the snowflakes and the center of the flowers.

Snow Globe Scene Christmas Card
This last card showcases the Santa’s Workshop dies. This die creates a beautiful little scene within a snow globe. I started by die cutting the snow globe frame and backing which was then ink blended with Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass distress oxide inks.
For most of my small die cuts used to build the scene, I had die cut them in colored card stock or white card stock that was colored through ink blending. I die cut a little bow in gold that I borrowed from the Deck The Halls dies to add to the snow globe.
Again, I went for a muted background to keep the focal point the snow globe. I used a piece of Neenah desert storm card stock just slightly smaller than the A2 size and heat embossed this piece with several snow flake images and a holiday sentiment. I added the snow globe to the center, and then backed the entire panel onto a white base card with some craft foam underneath.
